CHAPTER OF THE YEAR FINALISTSWE GOT NOMINATED AS ONE OF THE TOP 3 CHAPTERS OF THE YEAR FOR THE 2014-2015 SCHOOL YEAR!
BLOOMINGTON ORCHARDNet Impact went to the Bloomington Orchard to help keep the trees warm for the winter. This process, which we referred to as "putting the trees to sleep," involved mulching the bases of the trees and covering them with cardboard to prevent weeds from growing and heat from escaping as winter passes.

UPLAND BREWERY TOURNet Impact concluded an awesome year with a celebration at Upland Brewery. Net Impact Grad joined us to learn about the sustainable initiatives at Upland Brewery and to share a yummy meal.

Traditional club growth may be stronger in the fall, but that did not stop us from TRIPLING in size for spring! We got a new VP of Marketing and a whole lot of lovely new members.
THE INVOLVEMENT FAIRWe got to tell tons of students about Net Impact, bringing in one of our biggest groups of new members yet!

SPROUT TALKSprout is an insanely cool company, working to make compost accessible to the average household! We got to learn all about how they got started, as well as how they run business on the daily at this fun speaker event.
ENDANGERED SPECIES CHOCOLATEWhitney Bembenick of Endangered Species Chocolate came to Net Impact to chat about her company. A portion of chocolate sold is donated to protecting endangered species. She even handed out samples at the end!

VOLUNTEERING IN THE COMMUNITY
RED MANGO DINE & DONATEWe raised money for the Bloomington Community Orchard, hosting a Dine & Donate at Red Mango! Lots of frozen yogurt and fun was had by all!
WONDERGARDEN VOLUNTEERING Who says you can't garden when there is still snow out? We love the environment year-round at Net Impact!

MOTHER HUBBARD'S CUPBOARD VOLUNTEERINGNet Impact got up bright and early on MLK day to volunteer at Mother Hubbard's Cupboard. We restocked shelves and got the food pantry ready for a busy day.
HINKLE-GARTON FARMSTEAD VOLUNTEERINGMembers of Net Impact volunteered at the Hinkle-Garton Farmstead and spent the day preparing materials for tree sapping season.
ARBOR DAY TREE PLANTINGPlanting trees is something Net Impact is a big fan of! This fun volunteer opportunity helped members bond, while giving back to the earth!

TRAINING & EDUCATION
SENDING LEADERSHIP MEMBERS TO NATIONAL CONFERENCENet Impact IU sent a couple members to the national conference in 2014. It was a ton of fun! They participated in live-tweeting, met the target dog, and even got to write Kreft's name on a giant post-it note!
SUSTAINABILITY TRIVIA GAMESNet Impact had internal education via student-designed trivia games! We got to become more informed sustainable people through the lessons we learned!
FOSSIL FUEL DIVESTMENT CASEIn the fall, we hosted a fossil fuel divestment case! Participants got to learn about IU's situation with fossil fuels and assemble a data-driven case about why IU should divest.

PARTICIPATION IN UP TO USWe joined the challenge for Up To Us, where students were to inform and educate students about national debt in the US.
LEADERSHIP TRAININGTo welcome our new leadership team for the 2015-2016 school year, we had a intense leadership training day! We were thrown into bonding games where we were given an opportunity to learn about each other!
