At Net Impact we strive to create the business leaders of tomorrow. Leaders who believe in following the triple bottom line to make their business and the world a better place. The Net Impact Project Teams are a great way to give future business leaders real-world experience working with local companies. These experiences give members a leg up on the competition and set them on a path to success while also helping great organizations who are making the world a better place.
In the past, Net Impact Project Teams have worked with many different types of impact focused organizations from local Bloomington businesses like Pour House Café, to growing startups like Rent Rocket, to organizations inside IU like UTIS and the IU Office of Sustainability. While working on these projects, members have done all sorts of tasks ranging from data organization and analysis to various marketing related projects to financial modeling projects. Overall, Net Impact project teams touch a wide range of organizations and projects for all kind of majors. Regardless of one’s future career path, Net Impact has you covered.

Below are brief descriptions of the Spring 2019 projects our members are currently working on!

UITSThis team of 5 with work with UITS plan a movie viewing focusing on the environmental impact of technology. UITS is looking to expand this event through partnerships across campus in order to reach more students and add a more interactive, educational component that teaches students how they can get involved.

Solar Indiana Renewable Energy NetworkA team of 5 will assist SIREN in creating a method of collecting information from homeowners to discover how many potential solar customers are in the City of Bloomington. The method must also be repeatable and scalable to surrounding Indiana cities and counties.

Green CaminoA team of 5 will work with Green Camino to expand its customer base, not only to increase public awareness for its services, but also to show potential customers the importance of composting. To do this, they would like to target organizations like Neighborhood/Homeowners Associations, IU students, etc.…
