Hey guys, November was an awesome month for Net Impact because it was our transportation sustainability theme month!
And so, with that we had three different events, the first being our internal education event where Adam and Jacob put on a really cool simulation where we kind of pretended to be the board of directors for a transit company for the evening. We basically learned how to make business decision-making with sustainability in mind; kind of weighing environmental costs up against economic costs. So that was a really educational opportunity, I think, for all of us.
Our second event was our professional speaker event, where we had representatives from Cummins and IndyGo come in and kind of talk about current events in sustainability and some of the challenges that they have in their roles with that. Once again, great discussion and we look forward to partnering with them in the future.
Our last event of the semester, kind of to cap off the year, was our project presentation event where each of the six consulting teams kind of went up and talked about what they were up to all semester and so that was really cool to see what kind of a “net impact” we have on our community there.
