On Monday August 31, Net Impact held its first leadership meeting for all directors and executive board members. Co-President Nathan Manworren started out the meeting by discussing some of our new initiatives for this semester, including our partnership with Greening Cream & Crimson. Net Impact members will have the chance to lead a Zero Waste Station at all IU home football games and help fans compost and recycle their waste. This will be a great opportunity for anyone interested in recycling, football, or both to get involved and give back to the community! Next, we discussed ways in which we could improve the membership experience of Net Impact for this semester. We truly care about what members like and don’t like about their experience in Net Impact and feedback is always appreciated! Later, we talked about various member benefits and requirements like this year’s Net Impact shirt and our new and improved points system. We ended the meeting by going around campus putting up flyers and posters to spread the word about our callout meeting on Monday September 7 at 7:00 pm in Hodge Hall 4083. We hope to see you there!

Net Impact participated in the Kelley Carnival on Friday August 28 and it was a great success! We had an awesome time and were glad to spread the word about sustainability to well over 200 Kelley students! The first picture shows Co-President Brianna Conway explaining to a fellow student what Net Impact is all about: profit, people, and planet. Next, we can see one of the over 200 students who wanted to learn more about Net Impact and signed up to be on our email list. Then, we have Vice President of Membership Kinny Liu enthusiastically listening to and answering questions from students curious about Net Impact. Later we have a student who appears to be enjoying his time hearing fun facts about Net Impact (or at least we hope so!) Finally, we can see Kinny and Vice President of Programming Megan Yoder teaming up to inform students about how cool Net Impact is!
